Why IXV exists
Most inventory software falls into two camps. There's the enterprise stuff — expensive, full of features you'll never touch, designed for a procurement department you don't have. And there's the cheap stuff — generic, rigid, and built to fit nobody in particular. Shops in the middle are stuck choosing between paying too much for too much, or paying too little for software that doesn't actually match how their business runs.
IXV was built to be the third option: priced for real shops, built around how you actually work, supported by people you can reach.
Who's behind it
IXV Systems was founded by Ian Voss, who serves as Founder and Chief. Ian designs, builds, and supports the software directly — when you email about a bug or a feature request, that's the person reading it.
IXV operates as a small, independent business out of Cleveland, Ohio. As we grow, additional capacity for marketing, content, and customer outreach is supported by a network of independent contractors — so the software side stays focused while the rest of the business keeps moving.
That structure is intentional. It keeps overhead low (which keeps your price honest), keeps the product roadmap close to the people actually using it, and means there's never a layer of account managers between you and a real answer.
What we believe about software
- Your workflow comes first. The software adapts to your shop, not the other way around.
- Don't pay for what you don't use. Plans are scoped to actual needs, not artificial feature gates.
- Support is part of the product. A ticket queue isn't support. A real reply from someone who knows the system is.
- Custom work is normal. Every shop has one or two things they do differently. That's not a bug; that's the point.
